When and how do I pay?

For the one-day activities in the programme, you can pay on the day.

For multi-day treks and customised trips, you will be asked to pay a deposit via bank transfer which will go towards the guide’s fee. All other costs (e.g. meals, accommodation, travel to the meeting place) are not included and are to be paid directly by participants.

How much do the activities cost?
The cost is specified in the detailed activity description in the programme. One-day trips normally cost between €12 and €15 per person.

Customised trips cost €160 for a full day and €100 for half-days for each group requiring one walking guide. To ensure top quality and safety standards the maximum group sizes for each accompanying guide are approximately:

  • 8 people on high mountain paths or multi-day treks
  • 15 people on medium difficulty paths
  • up to 25 people on routes classified as T (tourist trails)

Rules for participation

The guide reserves the right to change the itinerary or cancel the trip at any time to take into account objective dangers, bad weather conditions, inappropriate gear or overtiredness of participants. Participants must respect the guide’s decisions and recommendations.

Clothing and equipment

When you sign up, you will be reminded what gear you should bring. Generally-speaking, you will need good shoes with an anti-grip sole (smooth-soled trainers can be dangerous), a waterproof/windproof layer or jacket, a warm jumper, hat, sunglasses, water bottle, and snacks. Walking poles are not necessary but can be very useful.
